Poha


Ingredients:

  • Potato, Carrot, Onion
  • Curry patta
  • Mustard Seeds (Sarson)
  • Groundnuts
  • Ghee
  • Haldi, Chilli powder, Salt, Pepper
  • Milk, Sugar
  • Poha

Steps:

1 Peel and wash all vergetables
Finely chop onion, potato, carrot ( small square pieces)

2. Put a pan on gas, medium flame (preferably non stick pan)
3. Put ghee (little). When ghee is little warm, add mustard seeds and curry pata and ground nuts to it
4. When ground nuts are done, add onion and fry for a while, till it is very light golden

5. Add haldi powder and red chilli powder
6. Add all the vegetables and salt to taste
7. Reduce the flame, spinkle some water, stir and cover the pan with lid

8. Keep checking in between and sprinkle some more water if not done. Will take some 10-20 mins

9. In the meantime, take poha in a pan and pour water
10. Wash and drain all the water
11. Wash again and drain water.
12. Spread the Poha in a plate
13. Add 1-2 spoons of milk and sprinkle some sugar
13. Mix them well

14. Once the vegetables are done (taste the potato to confirm), add poha in the pan and stir well
15. Add more salt if required
16. Ready to be eaten!!

Ankit: I tried this for the first time and it took 45mins to make, including all the veggie cutting.
